"It takes courage.. to endure the sharp pains of self discovery rather than choose to take the dull pain of unconsciousness that would last the rest of our lives." - Marianne Williamson
And there it goes again:
7am, rise. 9am, check emails. 12pm, salad for lunch. 5:30pm procrastinate with anticipation of freedom.
Most of us live with some form of variation of this routine. But, the fortunate ones have found a way of escape. For some, its films, for some it's music, literature, alcohol... maybe?
Ha, in all seriousness, I feel so lucky to have found blogging as my escape. It's a sacred place where I get to toss all the real life nitty gritty stuff, and just make pictures, write about ideas, and share with others who are also fighting monotony and seeking adventure in this limited life.
So we ventured as far out as my backyard (sort of). This was my first time meeting Stephanie, but it didn't take us long to find common ground.
"I don't like to do stuff that's super clean."
What I love about Stephanie is her firm awareness of her vision while being open to spontaneity of the moment, to capturing the unplanned. More of our work to come, especially now that she's planning her move to NYC!
Photos by the incredibly talented Stephanie Severance, check out more of her work here.
